Samsung’s high-end smartphone just got a festive price cut right now for India’s shopping season and it’s much cheaper for customers looking to upgrade to a flagship phone.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (12GB RAM and 256GB of storage) was sold on Amazon India for ₹1,24,999 during the Great Indian Festival sale. The phone was launched in India at ₹1,39,999 and is available in September 2026. But Samsung changed the prices of its Galaxy S26 series and the price of the Ultra has been raised to ₹1,54,999. In other words, the Amazon price is ₹30,000 lower than the new official price, but not ₹15,000. The deal was announced earlier this month and buyers should check the current listing before placing an order.

At some point, there can be additional benefits to drive the effective price down further. In August, it was reported that the same variant was available on Flipkart for an effective price of ₹1,11,699 after applying eligible SuperCoin and Axis Bank credit card cashback offers. Those benefits too are conditional and should not be confused with a guaranteed selling price or a Cashify offer.

How do you get the best price?

When you are planning to buy the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra this holiday season, comparing offers on different platforms will save you some money.

Compare online and offline prices: Check Amazon, Flipkart and Samsung's official store, as the price, bank offers and availability can vary. Check bank discounts and cashback: Look for eligible credit cards and payment methods which will automatically give you instant discounts or cashback. Consider an exchange offer: Trading in your old smartphone can help to lower the price, but the final value is still dependent upon the smartphone model and eligibility. Look at no-cost EMI: Some eligible buyers may be able to pay for it in monthly instalments. Check the contract details, processing fees and total amount payable before proceeding. If the new smartphone is still out of your budget, it may be worth considering refurbished phones. A refurbished smartphone might be worth buying if the warranty, return policy, battery condition, and seller’s reputation are in place.

Amazon’s festive sale has provided bank discounts, cashback, exchange offers and no-cost EMI on eligible purchases. But the benefits depend on the product, payment method and terms applicable at checkout.

How Does It Compare With Other Flagship Phones?

The Galaxy S26 Ultra competes with the likes of Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and Apple's iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The Pixel 10 Pro XL starts at ₹1,24,999 on Google's Indian online store and is in the same starting price range as the Galaxy S26 Ultra's reported Amazon sale price. The iPhone 17 Pro Max launched in India at a higher starting price of ₹1,49,900 but current prices and availability should be checked separately.

Samsung's flagship stands out with features including its built-in S Pen, Privacy Display, and advanced camera system. These features make it an option for users who want a phone that combines photography, productivity, and privacy-focused functionality.

But the final decision is subjective and does not come down to the sale price alone. Buyers should evaluate camera performance, software experience, battery life, display quality and long-term support as opposed to just purchase price.

Is the Galaxy S26 Ultra worth buying?

If you have been looking at Samsung’s Ultra series, a big festive discount could make the Galaxy S26 Ultra more attractive. The reported Amazon price of ₹1,24,999 is considerably lower than the revised official price of ₹1,54,999.

But buyers should remember that festive deals can change, and any additional savings may require an eligible bank card, cashback offer or exchange, and the lowest advertised effective price might not be available to everyone.

Before purchasing, compare the final checkout price across retailers, confirm the warranty and return terms, and see if the discount is valid for the colour and storage variant you choose.

For Samsung’s flagship camera system, S Pen and Privacy Display, the festive sale could allow consumers to save on a premium smartphone. The key is to verify the offer on the day of purchase rather than relying on an earlier advertised price.
