A woman in Rostov-on-Don, Russia has been praised online after a video aired in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, showed a woman pulling a man out of a minibus and beating him in the wake of allegations of obscene behaviour towards a young girl.
The incident happened in the area of Budyonnovsky Avenue and Varfolomeyeva Street, according to local media reports published on October 22. It was reported by a local news channel on October 22 that witnesses said that the man was accused of obscenely touching the girl's face and showing his penis in the eyes of a minibus as it was a Route 61 minibus.
These accusations have not been confirmed by law enforcement bodies.
A video of the encounter shows the woman in the fight at the man and on the pavement outside the minibus. She strikes and kicks him while people watch. The minibus driver stays on board and the woman gets back in the car and drives away.
Witnesses say there was no action taken by any other passenger at the time. The footage has since spread on social media and people have been talking about the woman's actions and how the people involved in the argument were reacting.

One online citizen has praised her for stepping in when others did not. Others have wondered if the attack was justified, saying the authorities should've intervened and not leave it to a physical fight.
The incident also raises the question whether passengers should care to intervene if they see someone in public transport being physically attacked or harassed.
While an intervention can help protect a person at the moment, attacking a potential offender can be dangerous and carry legal consequences.
No police response is made public now; Bloknot Rostov reported no official statement from the local law enforcement is available since police have not had a statement. The actual nature of the behaviour is not yet known by law enforcement authorities.
No matter, the video has caused a familiar debate: should bystanders intervene if someone is in danger and where the line is between protecting another person and taking matters into their own hands?
