CBSE has released the date sheet for Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations 2027. The examinations for both classes will start from February 16, 2027 as per announced schedule. CBSE Board Exam Datesheet 2027: Important Dates
As per the official examination schedule CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations will be conducted offline in pen-and-paper mode. All examination papers are scheduled to begin at 10:30 am. The timetable covers a wide range of academic and vocational subjects like Science, Mathematics, English, Social Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy, Economics, History, Political Science and various language subjects.
More than 26.5 lakh students have registered for the Class 10 board examinations and over 19.8 lakh are expected to appear for the Class 12 examinations. According to sources, the board has considered more than 40,000 subject combinations while preparing the schedule so as to minimise clashes between exams for students.

CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2027: Subject-Wise Schedule
CBSE Class 10 board examinations will begin on February 16, 2027 with Painting examination. Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic examinations will be held on February 17 followed by various skill based subjects on February 18. Home Science examination is scheduled on February 19 while Science paper will be held on February 22.
Students appearing for Computer Applications, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence will appear on 24 February. English Communicative and English Language and Literature examinations will be held on 26 February. Hindi Course A and Hindi Course B examinations will be conducted on 3 March and Social Science on 8 March. Class 10 board examinations will conclude with the remaining language and subject papers on 9 March 2027.

CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2027: Important Subject Dates
The CBSE Class 12 board exams will also begin on February 16, 2027 with Physics. The Science, Commerce and Humanities students will appear for the exams along with vocational and skill based subjects. Physical Education exam will be conducted on February 18, Accountancy on February 24, Chemistry on February 27 and Psychology on March 2.
For Commerce stream candidates Economics will be held on March 16 and Business Studies on April 1; Mathematics and Applied Mathematics exams are on March 9. Biology students will appear for their examination on March 25 and History on March 27. Class 12 board examinations will end on April 9, 2027.

CBSE Board Exam 2027: Practical Examination Details
Apart from theory examinations, CBSE has also announced the schedule for practical examinations and internal assessments for 2026-27 academic session. Practical examinations and internal assessment of schools affiliated to board in India as well as abroad will be held from January 1 to February 13, 2027 while students studying in winter bound schools will have their practical exams earlier — November 9 to December 19, 2026.
