According to media reports, the confrontation escalated into a physical altercation, with the group smearing ink on Tiwari's face. The incident has drawn attention to the controversy surrounding his remarks and the continuing debate over caste dignity and accountability.

Apology Fails to End the Controversy

Tiwari had reportedly released an apology video after facing criticism over the language he allegedly used during the interview. He described his remarks as a mistake and expressed regret.

However, the apology did not put an end to the dispute. The confrontation at Bhawani Chowk has brought the issue back into public discussion, with critics objecting to the alleged casteist language and demanding accountability for remarks directed at the Scheduled Caste community.

The group involved in the confrontation was reported to have challenged Tiwari over the controversy. Some reports identified the participants as youths who said they belonged to the Scheduled Caste community, although their identities and affiliations have not been independently established.

Police Begin Examining Complaints

Following the incident, Tiwari reportedly approached the police over the confrontation and the alleged physical assault. A complaint was also submitted by the district Scheduled Caste Morcha concerning the remarks that triggered the dispute.

Police were reported to be examining complaints from both sides and reviewing available video footage. The circumstances surrounding the confrontation and the allegations made by the parties remain subject to investigation.

Caste Dignity and Political Friction

The episode has renewed attention to tensions surrounding caste-related remarks and the response of Ambedkarite groups to perceived insults against Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and the communities associated with his legacy.

Tiwari is also known for his involvement in Hindu community campaigns, including activities around interfaith relationships and issues described by campaigners as love jihad. His public activities have placed him within broader debates involving Hindutva groups, religious identity and social tensions.

The investigation and the complaints from both sides will be important in establishing the circumstances of the incident and determining any legal consequences.
