Punjabi music is set for another international milestone as singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has been named one of the performers at 2026 Latin Grammy Awards.
The Indian star will perform with internationally recognised artists including Colombian singer Karol G and Argentine music producer Bizarrap in Las Vegas on November 12.
The Latin Recording Academy announced on November 5 that Diljit would be part of the performer line-up for the 27th annual Latin Grammy Awards. Indian music fans (especially those who have seen him go from Punjabi music industry to major international platforms) are excited about it.
Diljit’s involvement also shows how Indian music is becoming more international: Punjabi songs are being heard in different countries now and the singer has helped take it beyond India.
Diljit Dosanjh Joins Star-Studded Latin Grammy Lineup. Along with Diljit, the new performers announced are Karol G, Bizarrap, Baby Ranks, Bad Gyal, Miguel Colón, Divino, DJ Premier, Grupo Niche, Jay Wheeler, Lil Supa, Luis Enrique, Nathy Peluso and Ángel “Cucco” Peña.
These artists represent different styles and influences within Latin and international music so the ceremony is an important gathering for performers from different musical backgrounds.
Several other major names had already been announced for the event. The earlier line-up was Anitta, Daddy Yankee, Rosalía, Juanes, Feid, Fonseca, Reik, Mon Laferte, Grupo Frontera, Cristian Castro and Jorge Drexler among others.
Diljit’s inclusion in this international gathering has been keenly watched by Indian audiences. His team posted on social media “Punjabi AA Gaye Grammy Oye” (Punjabi is winning Grammy) when the news was announced.
Fans also took to social media to congratulate the singer. Some called it a proud moment for Punjab and Indian music; others said they were excited to see Punjabi artist share stage with top international artists.
The 27th annual Latin Grammy Awards will be held on November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, United States.International actress and television personality Roselyn Sánchez will host the ceremony again (10th time). This is her 10th time hosting the awards.
The main television broadcast will be on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión and ViX at 8 pm Eastern Time. There will be a one hour pre-show starting at 7 pm Eastern Time followed by red carpet coverage starting earlier.
The ceremony will also feature a special tribute to late Mexican singer-songwriter and salsa legend José Alfredo Jiménez in celebration of his contribution to music.
Diljit Dosanjh is still busy. The Latin Grammy announcement follows Diljit’s Aura India Tour which started on 30 October in Delhi and will continue across different Indian cities.
