The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi announced the Notification of Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test for NORCET-10 in 2026. The goal of the giant recruitment drive is to fulfill 2,551 Group-B Nursing Officer placements at AIIMS's numerous AIIMS Institutions and other top-ranking central government hospitals such as Safdarjung Hospital (SJH), ESIC.
Current candidates are now able to enroll and apply for roles on the official portal https://aiimsexams.ac.in/. This recruitment represents an unprecedented chance for nursing professionals to fill a Level-7 pay matrix position in the central government health care sector.
Key Dates to Remember
Selections are quickly chosen, with registration windows only open for a few weeks. Candidates should refer to the following pivotal period-Date or two.
- Application Start Date: February 24, 2026.
- Last Date to Apply: March 16, 2026 (up to 5:00 PM).
- Correction Window: March 25 – March 27, 2026.
- Stage-I (Preliminary) Exam Date: April 11, 2026.
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing or Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing at a quality institution.
- OR Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) with 2 years or more experience in a 50-bedded hospital.
- The registration as a Nurse & Midwife at the State or Indian Nursing Council is obligatory for all routes.
Age Range: Candidates at the cutoff of March 16, 2026, between 18 and 30 years of age. Subject to the rules of Government of India, reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) will be eligible for age relaxation.
Pattern of Exam and Selection Model
Recruitment will take place during a Two-stage Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- Stage-I (Preliminary): 100 MCQs (80 Nursing subjects, 20 General Knowledge & Aptitude) for 90 minutes. This is qualifying based stage.
Stage-II (Mains): This is the final stage for selecting merit list. Case and clinical nursing questions are included in it. - Negative Marking: Each stage is penalized with 1/3 mark for incorrect answers.
Application Fee
- General/OBC Candidates: ₹3,000.
- SC/ST/EWS Candidates: ₹2,400 (NB: Fees for SC/ST candidates who take the exam are usually refunded after the results).
- PwD Candidates: None.
