The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced a major recruitment drive for 2026, opening applications for 244 administrative vacancies in its centres and units.
Job opportunities in the central government include Assistant, Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Junior Personal Assistant (JPA), Stenographer, etc.
The recruitment notification has been sent by the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB). Interested and prospective candidates can apply online through the official ISRO website. The registration process started on 27 July 2026 and application is open until August 16, 2026.
The vacancies are spread across ISRO establishments and autonomous institutions of the Department of Space.
The selected candidates can be posted at different centers in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Sriharikota, Thiruvananthapuram, Hassan, Mahendragiri, New Delhi and other ISRO establishments in the country.
For Assistant and Upper Division Clerk (UDC) positions, the candidates should have at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university for a bachelor’s degree and have basic computer knowledge.
The candidates for Junior Personal Assistant and Stenographer are expected to meet the educational qualifications and have typing and stenography skills as detailed in the official notification.
The selection process will include a written examination and skill test for posts that require typing or stenography proficiency. The candidates will be shortlisted based on their written examination performance, but the skill test will be qualifying in nature if applicable.
The merit list will be made after successful document verification and fulfillment of all eligibility conditions.
The candidates selected through the recruitment process will be appointed under Level 4 of the Central Pay Matrix.
