Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the SSC GD 2026 exam, candidates must fulfill the following requirements as of January 1, 2026:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th Class) examination from a recognized Board or University.
• Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 23 years of age. (Candidates should not have been born earlier than Jan 2, 2003, and not later than Jan 1, 2008).
• Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories ($SC/ST$: 5 years; $OBC$: 3 years; Ex-Servicemen: 3 years).

Selection Process

The selection is a multi-stage process designed to test both mental and physical fitness:

1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE): An objective type test consisting of 80 questions.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST): To assess physical endurance and measurements (Height/Chest).
3. Medical Examination & Document Verification: The final stage before the merit list is prepared.

2. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) if you are a new user.
3. Log in and find the link for "Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026."
4. Fill in the required details and upload a photograph and signature as per the specifications.
5. Pay the application fee of ₹100 (Women, SC, ST, and Ex-servicemen are exempted from the fee).
6. Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.

Warning from SSC:

The Commission has issued a special advisory urging candidates not to wait until the final day (Dec 31) due to the heavy traffic and potential server failures. No extensions to the deadline will be granted.
