Speaking during a conversation with Meri Saheli, the actress said that newcomers entering the industry are often initially praised and given big promises about their future. According to her, many are told that they have the qualities to become leading stars and are encouraged to believe that major opportunities await them.

However, Tanushree Dutta claimed that these promises sometimes turn out to be traps. She alleged that after gaining the trust of newcomers, certain individuals in the industry start asking them to meet different people, putting them in uncomfortable or exploitative situations.

The actress warned aspiring actors to remain extremely cautious while navigating the film industry. She explained that the environment can sometimes take advantage of the ambitions, dreams, and hopes of young artists trying to build their careers.

According to Tanushree Dutta, many young men and women enter the industry with big dreams but end up being used and eventually abandoned. She claimed that in some extreme cases, individuals are pushed into prostitution due to continuous exploitation and pressure.

“Many people come here with dreams, but they are exploited and later left behind. Some are forced into prostitution because of the level of exploitation they face,” she said, adding that several victims return to their hometowns emotionally broken.

The actress also pointed out that such stories rarely come out in public because only success stories are usually highlighted in the media, while the struggles of unsuccessful newcomers remain hidden.

Tanushree Dutta further revealed that she had ended a friendship with a well-known actress who allegedly justified compromising situations in the industry. She clarified that while personal relationships are a private choice, she believes no one should be forced to compromise their dignity for career opportunities.

The actress said she chose to speak openly about the issue to warn newcomers about potential risks and encourage them to remain alert and careful while pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.

Her statements have once again sparked discussions about safety, exploitation, and ethical practices in the film industry.
