This movie is already starting to attract huge attention from fans from all over India and overseas. The makers today face a rush of publicity efforts and fan events before the big release. Unfortunately, however, while in full steam ahead of the movie, disheartening news for Japanese fans was revealed.

The producers have allegedly opted to postpone the film's launch in Japan for unavoidable reasons, reports say. The production team initially made plans for a simultaneous release in India and Japan, as Ram Charan is immensely popular in the country following the global success of RRR.

Then Ram Charan hit the big time in Japan for RRR, and Japanese audiences had high hopes for Peddi released in Japan. Backed up by Japanese fans who hoped to see the actor in yet another strong performance. Now the postponed release is disappointing many overseas fans, who were waiting for a new release in Japan.

Fan reaction on social media has been inconsistent, with Indian fans too. Many believe a simultaneous release in Japan must have boosted box office collections and boosted Ram Charan's expanding overseas market even more. Nevertheless, anticipation of the film is still very high, especially since the film has a large cast and large production costs.

The central role is made very clear and is also one of the best parts of the movie, as Kannada sensation Shivarajkumar is playing the role in an unprecedented way. Known as “Karunada Chakravarthy” in both Kannada and Telugu film industries, Shivanna’s role and appearance alongside that of Ram Charan have caused huge buzz.

Fans eagerly wait to see the strong screen sharing between the two stars in what is being described as a head-spinning sports action drama. The film is being made on a grand budget by Venkata Satish Kilaru with the Vriddhi Cinemas name under the studio's banner. The film is helmed by acclaimed director Buchi Babu Sana, who burst onto the scene with the groundbreaking film Uppena.

Janhvi Kapoor stars with Ram Charan in the role of the female lead. Other than Ram Charan and Shivarajkumar, the film is a powerhouse with Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu Sharma and Boman Irani as main cast members who are also on the stellar screen.

To further add to the heft of the project, the soundtrack and a background score of the film have been done by A. R. Rahman, an Oscar-winning music composer. With its heavy-handed ensemble, excellent production values and eager fans, some big enough, if not fans at all, Peddi is poised to have a big opening at the box office. To the extent that Japanese audiences will have to wait a bit longer, the film’s release in India and a few other global theatres will go along as planned, with celebrations from fans around the world.
