India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared that the Embassy has activated dedicated emergency contact numbers for Indians seeking help or information after the flash floods.
Emergency numbers released by the Embassy are +977 985 131 6807 and +977 970 910 7500. Indian nationals affected by the flooding or families seeking information about relatives in Nepal can contact these numbers for assistance.
The development has occurred in the midst of flash floods in Nepal where several areas are in danger.
Flash floods can cause sudden rises in water levels, disrupt road and communication networks, damage bridges and isolate communities. Such conditions can make it difficult for people to move to safer areas or stay in touch with their families.
