The tragic road accident killed three children when an out-of-control trailer truck plowed into them on Jaipur-Ajmer Highway. The children’s parents who were near the vehicle at the time of the accident suffered serious injuries and were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to initial information, the trailer truck was travelling from Jaipur towards Ajmer when the driver lost control of the heavy vehicle on the main highway. The speeding trailer veered off its lane and struck the children, who were standing by the roadside with their parents.
After hitting the children, the truck continued on before crashing into the highway safety railing, bringing the vehicle to a halt.
The impact of the collision was severe, leaving all three children critically injured. Despite rescue efforts, they succumbed to their injuries. Their parents also suffered serious injuries in the accident and were transferred to a hospital where they are now in recovery.
Shortly after the incident, local residents and passersby rushed to meet the police and emergency services. Rescue teams arrived and transported the injured to the nearest medical facility.
The police have taken possession of the trailer truck and are investigating the cause of the accident. They say overspeeding, mechanical failure or driver negligence would most likely cause the vehicle to spin out of control.
