The CBSE Class 12 revaluation results have brought to life one of the most inspiring academic stories of the year. Avani Kejriwal, a commerce student from DPS SAIL Township, Dhurwa in Jharkhand, got a perfect score in the Class 12 board exams. Although her original performance is excellent, the revaluation process turned an excellent performance into a historic achievement, highlighting the importance of confidence, perseverance, and faith in one’s abilities.
When the Class 12 results of the CBSE came out on May 13, Avani got 95.2% marks. Most students would be impressed. Avani felt that some of her answers in certain subjects were not well-articulated. Having already been awarded full marks in three subjects, her English and Business Studies scores were particularly surprising. But she refused to accept it without a second thought and went back and re-evaluated her performance.
Confidence in Her Answers Led to a Bold Decision
Avani’s decision to apply for re-evaluation was not based on disappointment, but on confidence. She felt that she had performed much better than the marks indicated. To her greatest disappointment was English—one of her favorite subjects and one of her best areas of knowledge. “I was shocked that 19 marks in English were deducted,” she said. She also found that there was a five-mark difference in Business Studies.
In a world where many students are reluctant to challenge board exam results, Avani trusted her preparation and understanding of the subjects. That decision proved correct. Upon re-evaluation, she found that she had seen significant changes in her scores, validating her confidence and demonstrating that students should not hesitate to seek a review if they genuinely believe an error has occurred.

A Stunning 24-Mark Increase
The results of the reassessment exceeded even the expectations of many observers. Avani’s total score rose by an impressive 24 marks after the re-evaluation. The revised result increased her overall performance from 95.2 percent to a flawless 500 out of 500.
The updated marksheet showed full marks in all five of her commerce subjects:
Perfect Scores in Core Subjects
- English Core – 100/100
- Accountancy – 100/100
- Business Studies – 100/100
- Economics – 100/100
- Applied Mathematics – 100/100
This is in addition to 99 marks in Graphics, her additional subject, further highlighting her academic excellence across disciplines.
An Inspiration for Students Across India
Avani Kejriwal’s achievement is much more than numbers. It’s a powerful reminder to students that we should all have confidence in our work and that we need to be able to seek a review when we believe our performance in the evaluation has not been accurately assessed. Her journey from 95.2 percent to 100 percent demonstrates that hard work and self-assurance can make a difference.
The story has also revived the debate among students about the necessity for CBSE revaluation and how it helps to guarantee fairness in one of India’s most competitive academic systems. Avani’s success is evidence that the result is not always final until all opportunities for review have been considered.
As congratulations pour in from all over Jharkhand and beyond, Avani Kejriwal’s remarkable turnaround is considered one of the most compelling education stories of 2026—a story of confidence, persistence, and the pursuit of academic success.
