A woman was killed, and three others were injured after a truck allegedly rammed into four people standing on a footpath near Somasamudra village in Kurugodu taluk in Ballari district. The horrific road accident reportedly took place late at night and was recorded on a CCTV camera.
The incident occurred on the national highway near Somasamudra village, where the four victims were reportedly standing outside a bakery and talking when the truck suddenly veered towards them.
Woman Dies When Truck Rams into Footpath
The deceased was identified as Mahadevi, 48. Three others -- Sunita, Poojari Jadamma and Gagan -- were injured in the accident.
According to the information available, the four people were standing on the footpath in front of a bakery at Somasamudra village when the truck suddenly approached them and hit them.
One woman died, and three were injured.
Terrifying Accident Captured on CCTV
The full event was recorded by a CCTV camera installed in the area, the newspaper said. The footage will allow authorities to know how the truck entered the footpath and where events took place before the crash occurred.

Three Injured Shifted to Ballari Trauma Care
The three injured victims– Sunita, Poojari Jadamma and Gagan– were taken to hospital for treatment after the accident.
They are being treated at Ballari Trauma Care. The extent of their injuries and their condition are unknown until now.
Meanwhile, the body of Mahadevi was recovered following the accident, and further procedures are expected to be carried out as part of the investigation.

The crash took place in the jurisdiction of Kurugodu Police Station, where a case was registered in connection with the accident.
