A man was beaten to death and two others were injured after they were allegedly attacked by a group of people over suspicion of theft in Shahbad Dairy in outer Delhi on Tuesday morning, September 29, 2026.
According to Delhi Police, a Police Control Room call came in at 7:00 a.m. to the authorities that some local residents had caught suspected thieves and were beating them. Police immediately reached the area and removed three men from the situation.
One of the men who was wounded, Hasan Mangal, of the first group, was taken to hospital, where he was declared dead and the other two men were injured and were being treated, police said.
Five People Apprehended
Delhi Police have arrested five people in connection with the assault and death. A crime team has also checked the location as part of the investigation.
DCP (Outer North) Shobhit Saksena said further action would be taken after examining the facts and evidence, along with medical and post-mortem findings.
