A 10-year-old boy who went missing from Delhi's Bawana area was found dead in a nearby forested area, police said.
Intzar was last seen playing near his home in the Bawana area on Sunday, October 4, 2026. His family started looking for him after he suddenly disappeared and later reported him missing to the police.
According to his father, Ayub, the boy was playing near his family’s home at about 11:30 a.m. when he went missing.

Police received a PCR call at 3 pm on Monday, October 5, regarding a child lying in a blood-soaked condition in the Narela Industrial Area.
The police team arrived and found the body. The family was informed later, and relatives identified the child as Intzar. One report said that the body was found in a forested area near a cemetery and another report stated that the location was bushes on DDA land in the Sannoth area.
The discovery came about a day after the child was reported missing.
Injury Marks found on Body
Police said injury marks were visible on the boy’s hands and legs. His family has speculated that he might have been killed, but so far authorities have not been able to determine the cause of death.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Police are waiting for the medical report to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the child's death.

Crime and Forensic Teams collect Evidence
Crime and forensic teams were called to the scene after the body was recovered. The police collected evidence from the scene.
Police are also looking at CCTV footage from the surrounding areas and questioning local residents and other people who may have information about the boy’s movements before he disappeared.
According to reports, the family had searched the surrounding areas and contacted people in the neighbourhood after Intzar went missing.
Police Investigation Underway
The circumstances in which the child went to the forested area are unclear. His father told police that Intzar had not previously visited the forest area.
The investigation is then aimed at reconstructing the child’s movements from the time he was last seen to the discovery of his body.
The cause of death will be determined following the post-mortem examination and further forensic analysis after the conclusion of the investigation.
