A 66-year-old woman from Kerala died after she suddenly collapsed while she was traveling on an escalator at Kempegowda International Airport, near Devanahalli in the province of Bengaluru Rural District, on Thursday.
The incident reportedly took place at Terminal 1 of Kempegowda International Airport when the woman was on her way out of the terminal after arriving in Bengaluru from Kerala.
The deceased has been identified as Shivadas Latha, 66, who was going from Kozhikode in Kerala to Bangalore on an Akasa Air flight.
Latha appeared unwell and suddenly collapsed on the airport escalator as she was walking to the exit, people say. Airport personnel immediately rushed to help her.
