Accordingly, the Karnataka government and child welfare officials will review existing guidelines that govern daycare centres to identify whether more controls or inspections are needed. Calls for stronger monitoring mechanisms have also gained momentum following the incident, and organizations are calling for uniform standards for private childcare facilities.
