But apparently and disturbingly, in a Bengaluru police call, a wife was reported missing after leaving home to dispose of rubbish. This case, being investigated within the confines of the Bagalagunte police station, is believed to be an elopement where the woman's husband pointed fingers at what he sees as a local man's involvement.
The missing woman, Priyanka, lives in Bagalagunte with her husband, Sharath Kumar and two children. This incident, according to Sharath’s complaint, occurred late at night on April 11. Around 11:57 PM, Priyanka had been seen walking out of the house holding a rubbish bucket in one hand and a bag in the other.
What appeared, at first glance, to be an everyday incident turned into a mystery when Priyanka failed to get home. Disturbed by her long absence of her, Sharath began searching when he found that she had disappeared with no explanation. That all changed completely when CCTV footage from that time was broadcast from the property, and Priyanka was seen leaving the house.
The pictures supposedly show she didn’t just take the garbage container but a bag as well, making the subject of her intention to leave a little less clear. His wife, charged with eloping with a man, Prabhu, a local cutting shop owner in the region, was also accused by Sharath Kumar.
She and Prabhu were in touch and met when he was away at work, he said. He also mentioned how he had once confronted his wife about the relationship and even told her not to pursue it, and even had quarrels at home. Sharath went on in the matter of his suspicions and accused Priyanka of using sleeping pills in his meals the night her disappearance occurred.
Maybe he did so to ensure he wouldn't come by her door when she left the house, he thinks. The other accusation the husband brought against Prabhu was that he used money to manipulate Priyanka, putting it in Priyanka's savings account, and the husband and their couple had squabbles in the past.
But the details of Priyanka’s disappearance are still unknown. There’s no telling if that is due to voluntary elopement or if something complicated might have occurred. Following up on the disappearance, Sharath Kumar filed a missing person complaint at Bagalagunte Police Station.
And they registered, and the police investigated. The police are currently also looking at CCTV, call records and other evidence to determine where Priyanka is and support her husband’s claims. Once more emphasising how domestic disputes and an unhealthy relationship might grow worse. The police should ensure that their first priority is securing the missing woman and her location.
