With the CBSE Board Examinations 2026 looming close now, millions of students in all corners of India and overseas alike look forward to getting their certified hall tickets. With theory tests poised for starting on February 17, 2026, for Class 10 and 12, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is in the last stages of consolidating the distribution process.
Expected Release Dates: When will the release date come?
Historically, CBSE issues admission cards approximately 15 to 20 days prior to the first examination. For the 2026 session:
- Private Candidates: As of mid-January 2026, links are active on the board portal for private candidates.
- Regular Candidates: Regular students are in process of getting their own hall tickets ready to release to school authorities in the first week of February 2026. Schools will download, sign, and roll them out to students.
How to Get the CBSE Admit Card 2026
The approach to getting the admit card is different depending on your candidate category:
1. For Regular students: Regular students cannot download their admit cards from the public website straight away.
- Based on school credentials, the school principal or designated authority logs in to the Pariksha Sangam portal.
- The bulk admit cards are downloaded by the school then printouts are taken.
- The Principal signs and stamps cards.
- The children need to pick up the physical specimen from their schools.
2. The private candidates (including compartment, failure or improvement students) can download their ticket directly:
- Go to the official website: cbse.gov.in.
- Refer to “Admit Card for Private Candidates 2026” link.
- Please fill out the form you entered (Application Number, Previous Roll Number, or Individual Candidate Name).
- Download and print the document in color so that it is more readable than ever.
Critical Details to Verify
When you are given your hall ticket, make sure to verify the following for any discrepancies:
- Candidate Details: Your Name Spelled Right! Also, your Father's/Mother's Name and Date of Birth.
- Codes for subject(s): Ensure the codes of subjects (e.g., Mathematics − 041, Physics − 042, etc) reflect those of your registered selections.
- Exam Center: The full address of the allotted examination center with the center code.
- Photograph & Signature: Ensure this photo is crisp and identifies you properly.
Note, if any errors are found, regular students are required to report these to the school authorities for immediate correction, private candidates should go directly to the relevant CBSE Regional Office if issues are noted.
