Raipur: Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has praised the Chhattisgarh government for its rapid implementation of welfare and infrastructure schemes, saying, ‘the state is building 1,500 houses every day under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)’.
Chouhan had his compliments for the good performance of the Chhattisgarh government in terms of housing construction pace and he also praised the Chhattisgarh government for the rapid pace of construction of housing.
He said the performance of Chhattisgarh is a result of the state's commitment to improving rural families' lives through the provision of permanent housing through the Centre's flagship housing scheme.
"Chhattisgarh is constructing 1,500 houses every day under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. I congratulate the state for this achievement," the Union Minister said.
Besides housing, Chouhan also mentioned that the state has made great progress in various other sectors of development. He said road infrastructure projects, Viksit Bharat Mission initiatives, and livelihood generation efforts through the Aajeevika Mission are progressing in Chhattisgarh.
The state's development efforts are helping with rural transformation, thus, it is increasing connectivity, employment opportunities, and village infrastructure, he said.
Chouhan also spoke about agricultural development, saying that the first instalment of funds under the RKVY Krishi Unnati Yojana has already been released. The second instalment will be released once the state successfully utilises the first tranche of funds.
RKVY Krishi Unnati Yojana is meant to increase agricultural productivity along with modern farm management practices and increase farmers' incomes through better infrastructure and innovation.
As a whole, Chouhan said rural development and agriculture-related schemes have been very satisfactory in terms of the performance of the state. He expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the state and the Centre in implementing welfare schemes to make life better for rural people.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is still one of the flagship projects in the central government's efforts to provide affordable and permanent housing to the people living in rural and urban India. Chhattisgarh's construction rate of 1,500 houses per day is indicative of the government's dedication to fulfilling housing targets.
The Minister was very happy to thank Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and the state government for keeping pace with the implementation of Central government schemes.
He was also very proud of the progress made in housing, agriculture, and infrastructure development in Chhattisgarh, which shows Chhattisgarh's commitment to inclusive growth and rural prosperity.
