With the new services, Tirupati becomes the airline’s 13th destination, so the airline expands its regional reach even further.

Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu highlighted the development and said better air connectivity was essential for important regional destinations.

Tirupati is particularly important for millions of pilgrims and visitors to come every year because of the famous Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple of Tirumala.

The airline started operations in Tirupati on 10 September 2026. The new services link Tirupati to Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry to give passengers more access to main cities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The Hyderabad-Tirupati service is operated daily. Tirupati-Vijayawada flights take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Tirupati-Rajahmundry services are operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The new routes could make travel more convenient for pilgrims, tourists and business travellers who frequently travel between these cities.

Passengers travelling to Tirupati can now have more direct flight choices instead of longer road journeys or connections through larger airports.

FLY91 has been gradually expanding its presence in India's regional aviation sector. Before Tirupati, the airline had already served a number of destinations in India including Goa, Pune, Bengaluru, Kochi, Hyderabad, Hubballi, Agatti, Rajahmundry and Vijayawada, as well as cities in Maharashtra.

Tirupati’s launch also comes as FLY91 is expanding its fleet at a rapid pace. The airline recently announced an order for 40 ATR 72-600 aircraft at a price of more than $1 billion at list prices.

The additional aircraft will complement the airline’s plans to connect more regional cities.

For Andhra Pradesh, the new FLY91 operations are another addition to the state's air connectivity network. Tirupati is an important city in religious and tourism as well as regional aviation.

And the new services also reflect the wider growth of India’s regional aviation sector, where airlines are more and more looking to connect smaller cities directly, instead of focusing only on major metropolitan routes.

With Tirupati now part of FLY91's network, FLY91 is working to expand regional connectivity.

The new flights between Tirupati, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry will also give the passengers a different path to travel to other places in the region.
