The protest at Jantar Mantar has received widespread attention in recent weeks as demonstrators have raised awareness on various public problems and demanded action from authorities.

As videos and updates of the protest spread on social media, many of the protesters began seeking ways to contribute. Food delivery to the protest venue quickly became the best way to help.

According to activists and volunteers, food deliveries started to increase very rapidly after appeals were posted on social media platforms.

People from different cities ordered snacks, water bottles, packed meals, fruits, and beverages to make sure protesters had access to a basic supply of food and water during the long hours of protest.

Volunteers on the ground collaborated with delivery personnel and collected the food packages, and distributed them to protesters. Organizers said such support helped maintain the morale of the demonstrators so they could continue the peaceful protest without having to worry about meals.

The online campaign has also demonstrated the growing role taken by digital platforms in civic engagement. Although crowdfunding and online petitions are not new and in practice a food delivery app is used to help protesters, it is a new kind of grassroots support enabled by technology.

Social media users hailed the initiative as an example of collective action: many posted pictures of their food orders and asked others to take part.

But organizers also asked for responsible contributions and asked supporters to work with volunteers before placing large orders to avoid food wastage. Supplies needed to be in line with what was actually needed at the protest site, they said.

The development has galvanized social media discussions about the changing nature of public participation in democratic movements. Many people believe digital tools have increased the opportunity for citizens and communities to contribute to causes even when they are not able to attend in person.

The projects to address this point of view have been noted by others that technology can be helpful in facilitating peaceful gatherings.

Security was maintained at Jantar Mantar as authorities monitored the protest and kept watch over it. Law and order has been maintained and peaceful protests were allowed as per the rules and regulations laid down.

In the event of an end to the protest, there's a stream of online food deliveries, so there have been many people involved in the protest in the world beyond just that site. And supporters can use social media campaigns, financial aid and even cooking to help in the movement.

The episode is just one of the ways in which digital connection is changing civic engagement and people are coming together to support public movements from almost anywhere in the country.
