Rajendranagar Police have arrested three men in connection with the murder of a 34-year-old man in Hyderabad’s Upperpally area. It happened at 5:36 pm on September 24, 2026, after what police said were previous disputes between the victim and the accused.
The arrested suspects have been identified as 28-year-old Mohammed Iliyas, 22-year-old Mohd Shoaib alias Soheb, and 23-year-old Shaik Sultan. Police said the suspects were arrested following an investigation into the case.
Attack Reported Near Shams Tailor Shop.
The attack took place in Upperpally near Shams Tailor Shop, which is close to Happy Homes, Telangana Today reported. The victim was attacked with a knife and other objects after previous disputes, police said.
The victim has been identified in the latest reports as Mohd Naseeruddin Ahmed Khan, 34. Some reports also refer to him as Waseem, highlighting a change in the name used in early coverage.
Another person who tried to intervene during the attack was also injured. Naseeruddin was taken to a hospital for treatment, and doctors declared him dead.
Police Arrest Three Suspects
After the murder, Rajendranagar Police started an investigation and traced the suspects. Police then arrested Iliyas, Shoaib, and Sultan.
According to police information reported by Telangana Today, Iliyas had been involved in one previous case, while Shoaib was involved in five previous cases. Police also said Sultan had a criminal history. These are police records or allegations and are not convictions in the present murder case.
The arrests were followed by the seizure of several items connected to the offence.
Knife and Other Items Seized.
Police seized a knife, metal knuckle, two-wheeler, mobile phone, and blood-stained clothing, according to reports. Police now believe the items are associated with the alleged crime.
A separate report said the case was registered as Crime No. 1125/2026 under Sections 103(1) and 61 read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Accused Sent for Judicial Remand.
The three suspects were taken to court to be remanded in custody, police said. Police said the investigation is ongoing and further details will be revealed once the evidence is established and the circumstances of the attack are known.
