A young woman was allegedly robbed of her mobile phone by unidentified miscreants in Jamshedpur's Mango police station area on Sunday, raising the alarm among police and residents in the area to step up patrolling. Jawahar Nagar Road No. 15 was the location where the girl's phone was stolen from Brahma Path as she was going home after work.
According to the report of Suman Kumari, daughter of Jagat Yadav and a resident of Road No. 15, she was on her way home at the time of the incident. When she was moving through the Brahma Path area, unknown persons approached her and stole her phone and fled from the spot.
Police began looking at CCTV video from cameras installed around it. A lot of footage from different locations along the road is expected to be examined and the suspects may be found. CCTV footage can provide clues for such cases, including the suspects' appearance and movement in the direction of escape, whether they fled on foot or in a car.
