The cheque to pay for advertisement was for ₹18,093. But when the cheque was presented for payment, the bank returned it, saying that there were insufficient funds in the municipality's account to honour the amount.

According to the information available, the K.R. Pet Municipality had issued a cheque of ₹18,093 to Gnanabharathi Prakashana Samsthe for advertisement-related payment.
