The big collection shows the continued flow of devotees and offerings at the famous religious centre in Mantralaya. The Hundi collection was counted after the first 22 days of September, and the Matha officially announced the amount received in cash and gold.

According to the statement, the total cash collection was ₹3.04 crore while devotees offered 48 grams of gold during the period. These numbers represent the offerings deposited directly into the Hundi at the Matha.

Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha in Mantralaya is a major pilgrimage site of Sri Raghavendra Swamy, the venerated 17th-century saint and philosopher. Devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and other parts of India regularly visit Mantralaya for prayers and blessings.

Hundi is one of the traditional channels through which devotees make monetary and other offerings at religious institutions. Such collections may vary depending on what visitors, festivals, special occasions, and other things occur in one period.

The September figures were released by the Matha after the cash and valuables deposited in the Hundi were counted. The disclosure provides an official account of the offerings received during the specified 22-day period.

The ₹3.04 crore collection is an average of about ₹13.8 lakh per day over the 22 days. The daily collections can be quite different, and the average does not indicate that the same amount was collected each day.

48 grams of gold were also recorded as part of the offerings. Religious institutions tend to receive offerings in a variety of forms, including cash, gold and other valuables, and account for them according to their procedures.

The latest figures have attracted attention because the cash collection crossed the ₹3 crore mark in less than a month. But it is only the first 22 days of September and should not be considered as the total collection for the entire month.

The official statement from Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha is the basis for the recorded figures, and counting was done after the Hundi offerings were gathered. However, no further comments on other types of offerings were given in the report.

Mantralaya continues to be a key location for devotees of Sri Raghavendra Swamy, where the Matha is the main structure under the saint’s Brindavana. The latest Hundi numbers once again show the scale of the offerings made by devotees at the pilgrimage centre.
