The incident took place at Chamundeshwari Donne Biryani restaurant in the Vijayanagar area of Mysuru. The complaint claimed that the dispute began after a customer who is also a hotel owner returned to the restaurant claiming that mayonnaise had not been included with a chicken tandoori parcel.

The accused is Srinivas, owner of Dum Biryani Hotel. Restaurant owner Chetan alleges that Srinivas returned to the restaurant soon after buying and confronted staff members over the missing condiment.

What began as a minor customer complaint turned into a heated dispute, according to the complaint. Srinivas entered the restaurant, verbally abused employees, and used threatening language against the staff, the complaint alleged. The accused was aggressive and intimidated workers over what employees described as a trivial issue, the lawsuit said.

According to the restaurant’s CCTV cameras, the entire event was captured. The video footage from the surveillance system shows the accused entering the hotel and having a fight with employees. A lot of investigators will use the footage to get more of a better picture of what happened in the restaurant.

Chetan claimed his employees were verbally abused and threatened in the encounter. The accused, he said, also issued threats to staff members working at the restaurant.

Chetan approached Vijayanagar Police Station and filed a complaint against Srinivas. Based on the complaint, police have started investigating the allegations and are expected to check the CCTV footage.

The case has drawn attention on social media and among local business owners, with many expressing concern about the growing number of disputes escalating into confrontations. Business owners and residents have argued that disagreements regarding food orders or customer service should be resolved through dialogue rather than intimidation or threats.

Police officials have not disclosed any specific findings about the incident yet. Both parties are expected to make statements, and the video surveillance footage and testimony from workers who witnessed the argument will be collected before deciding on further legal action, the police chief said.

The incident came as public behaviour in commercial establishments has become more closely watched because CCTV cameras are essential to establishing the facts of disputes, and people have been advised not to take matters into their own hands but to seek a remedy in the legal arena.

Police will determine whether any criminal offence took place in the incident as well. The government has said threats, intimidation, and harassment will be looked at thoroughly based on the evidence, and any threat will be looked at thoroughly.

It is an example of the way little disputes can escalate into major ones; if not resolved, legal consequences can be faced. It is the Vijayanagar Police who are taking the investigation along with the investigation and will take appropriate action as a result of the investigation.
