Shadows in Sri Ganganagar:
A Brutal Crime Against Innocence. The nation’s collective conscience is shaken after a horrific incident of child trafficking and sexual violence in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan to the bone. A 13-year-old girl was subjected to horrific atrocities for five days and the dark web of exploitation has provoked widespread public outcry and calls for swift, uncompromising justice. The Nightmare from Now on. On June 18, the girl left her home to meet a friend. Her mother came home at a late time that evening and started looking for her. The young girl is thought to have been trapped by an e-rickshaw driver for a few days, who instead of taking care of her, human trafficked her with a local hotel operator.
What happened over the next five days is a grim indictment of systemic evil. The 13-year-old girl was moved through different commercial establishments in the city. The police First Information Report (FIR) describes the victim as being hit repeatedly by over 30 men. To suppress her cries and to overcome the severe physical trauma she was suffering, the accused forced her to drink alcohol.

The administration was led by Sri Ganganagar District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav and Superintendent of Police Harishankar Yadav and deployed heavy-duty equipment to entirely demolish all those commercial structures linked to the crime, including Hotel Khungar (Dream Hotel), Hotel Joy Inn, and Hotel Sapphire (Sapphire Inn).
"By conducting bulldozers over these commercial establishments, the administration has sent an unequivocal message that no illegal activities, commercial exploitation, or violations of human dignity will be tolerated," said District Collector Dr. Amit Yadav. The local government has also been conducting regular, stringent searches of guest houses in the region to spot and eradicate human trafficking. The survivor is being treated and receiving psychological counseling while the state pursues strict legal accountability under both the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and the Indian Penal Code.
