Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday gave sharp criticism of the government's education policies during the Lok Sabha debate on the Anti-Paper Leak Bill as she called for more extensive reforms in education, more opportunities for young people’s employment and a more extensive interaction with experts before implementing policy.
And Priyanka Gandhi told the House the government should take an inclusive approach to education reforms.

"Bring education experts, students, teachers and all stakeholders together and have meaningful conversations with thought leaders from different ideologies to create a new education system," she said.
The Congress leader also criticised aspects of the current National Education Policy (NEP), arguing that the present examination structure leaves teachers with insufficient time to teach in the classroom.

And Priyanka Gandhi added, “In the current National Education Policy, examinations continue for nearly eight months, leaving teachers with little time to actually teach."
She continued by saying professional expertise should be taken into account in educational institutions because it is better when professionals are from different backgrounds.
"Instead of filling the system only with people from the RSS, it should be strengthened with educated, qualified, progressive, and liberal-minded individuals whose only qualification is not their ideology," she said.
Examining unemployment but also examination reforms, Priyanka Gandhi asked the government to create more jobs and higher education infrastructure.
She called on the Centre to increase the number of medical colleges and strengthen medical education so that students who work hard can look forward to better career prospects.
At the time of the recent student protests, Priyanka Gandhi said that whereas demonstrators might be removed from the streets, their concerns cannot be ignored.
"Students can be removed from the streets, but their questions cannot be silenced. Every baton that has struck a girl or a boy has not only hurt the students but has also tarnished the image of the government," she said.
In another part of her speech, the Congress MP claimed young people were demanding accountability and fairness rather than concessions.
"The youth of this country are seeking justice, not charity. They did not come here to bring down the government; they came here to save their trust in the system," she said.
Priyanka Gandhi also accused the government of failing to safeguard the aspirations of India’s youth and claimed that the erosion of confidence in the education and recruitment system posed a serious challenge.
She also criticized the ruling NDA government and claimed political mismanagement of governance and public trust. She said the biggest theft was when the future of the country’s youth was stolen, describing the loss of opportunities and dreams that have resulted from the examination-related controversies.
She finished her address by saying if young people lose faith in the system, it would be a big setback for the country.
Exchanges on the Anti-Paper Leak Bill were heard from the Treasury and Opposition benches on examination reform, student welfare, institutional accountability and the need to prevent paper leaks. The government has said the proposed legislation is intended to improve public examinations through tougher penalties and better controls on organised examination fraud.
