Newcastle Hand Hall New Long-Term Deal.

Newcastle United have signed Hall up for a new contract at St James' Park. As the defender is a key player for head coach Matthias Jaissle.

The club’s official statement said Hall was a key member of the squad and noted his development since joining Newcastle. Hall has made 107 appearances for the Magpies since first arriving in August 2023.

Newcastle signed Hall on loan but eventually made the move permanent in July 2024. Since then the England international has developed and is now very much a part of the team’s plan.

Hall's Rise At Newcastle

Hall's journey at Newcastle has already brought him through some of its biggest milestones in a very short time. Hall made his first appearance for the club in a record 8-0 win on loan for the club in an 8-0 victory against Sheffield United which was his first game as an initial loanee.

He also played in every round of Newcastle’s successful Carabao Cup campaign during the 2024/25 season, although an ankle injury prevented him from featuring in the final.

His performances at club level have also earned him recognition from England. Hall received his first senior England call-up in November 2024 and has since made four appearances for the national team.

Newcastle See More Potential

Newcastle head coach Matthias Jaissle said later he was proud of Hall and described him as a key player in the team's future.

Jaissle noted Hall's ability, defensive intelligence, technical quality and mentality. He also said the young defender still has a lot of room for improvement.

The club's sporting director Ross Wilson also stressed Hall's importance to Newcastle's planning. Retaining and extending Hall’s contract should be a priority, Wilson said, so the player can continue his development at both club and international level.

Hall Delighted To Keep On At Newcastle

Hall also expressed his happiness to continue his Newcastle career. Representing the club and its fans was a source of pride for him and also his family’s connection to Newcastle.

The club’s fans and the atmosphere around the team had made Newcastle a unique place for him,” he said.

What The New Contract Means.

The agreement is a major part of Newcastle's long-term squad planning. Hall is only 22 and has already gained extensive first-team experience and gained international recognition.

In the club’s domestic and European competitions, his versatility, defensive skill and technical abilities give Newcastle another valuable option.

Hence now that Hall is committed to a long-term future in Tyneside, Newcastle will hope the defender will continue his development and become even more important in the years ahead.
