Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has recognised the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) as one of the state’s best cybercrime intelligence services.
At a time when online frauds, financial scamming, and cybercrime are on the rise in India, the acknowledgment is a great relief for Telangana.
Resonantly praising the bureau’s performance, Revanth Reddy thanked the officers and staff for their continuous efforts to prevent citizens from cybercriminals. He said this is a manifestation of the government's vision to build up the digital security infrastructure and to make Telangana one of the safest states in the country for online transactions and digital services.
Telangana Cyber Security Bureau has been at the forefront of investigating cyber fraud, online financial scams, phishing attacks, identity theft, cryptocurrency fraud, and social media-related crimes. And due to technology, artificial intelligence-driven investigations, digital forensics, and close collaboration with national agencies, the bureau has been able to track and dismantle a host of cybercrime networks.
Public awareness campaigns have also been crucial in reducing cybercrime, according to officials. The bureau has been doing regular outreach programs in schools, colleges, corporate offices, and public institutions to inform citizens about safe online practices.
Awareness programs have encouraged people to report suspicious activities promptly, enabling authorities to respond quickly and minimize financial losses.

Revanth Reddy pointed out that cybercrime is a constant problem that needs to be addressed and developed continuously.
And the government will continue investing in cutting-edge technologies, a lot of specialized training, and better cooperation with financial institutions, telecom firms, and central agencies to combat sophisticated cyber threats.
Cybercrime is now the fastest-growing security issue in India, with fraudsters targeting people with fake investment schemes, digital arrest scams, phishing messages, loan app frauds, and impersonation attacks. Telangana has since intensified cyber response strategies, including quicker complaint registration, real-time financial fraud intervention, and improved victim support services.
Experts believe Telangana's model can serve as a benchmark for other states in the region struggling to improve their cyber policing capabilities.
The state’s holistic approach is based on technology, highly trained personnel, public participation, and inter-agency coordination, which gives it a comprehensive approach to cybercrime prevention.
Citizens are also warned to be watchful and report cyber fraud immediately through official channels, to not click on suspicious links, check people’s phone calls with unknown people before they get hacked, and report cyber fraud as soon as possible. Early reporting, authorities say, has raised the chances of recovering lost funds and identifying the culprits.
