Rescue and relief workers worked at the site to help searchers to know if workers were trapped there.

According to the report, the blast took place at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Sri City. The explosion caused a lot of damage at the site and the police, fire and rescue response was swift.

At least four people are believed to have died and around 10 others are injured. All injured workers were taken to hospitals for treatment. Rescue workers continued to search inside the affected buildings for any possible trapped workers.

The exact reason for the explosion is not yet clear. The explosion could have been due to equipment failure, an industrial process, or also other reasons, officials said.

The accident has once again drawn attention to safety measures at industrial facilities, particularly those that deal with chemicals, machinery and other potentially hazardous materials.

Such facilities must follow safety practices in place to protect workers and prevent major industrial accidents.

Emergency personnel were mobilised soon after the explosion and the rescue work focused on finding workers in the damaged areas of the factory. The number of people at the facility at the time of the incident was also being investigated.

The identities of those who died and the injuries of the wounded were not immediately known in the initial reports. More information is to be released as rescue operations progress and families are informed.

Tirupati district has many industrial and manufacturing facilities including units in the Sri City industrial area. Any major accident at such a facility can require coordinated efforts involving local administration, police, fire services and medical teams.

Once the rescue is done, officials will go to the factory premises and investigate. The inspection would show what happened before the explosion and if any safety measures were violated.

As search and rescue efforts continue, authorities of all kinds will also help the families of those affected. Details of casualties, the extent of the injuries and the reason for the explosion are also expected.

The investigation is ongoing, and casualty figures from the factory could change as law enforcement completes their search of the factory site.
