In a shocking development, Tripura DGP Anurag Dhankar was found dead inside his office chamber at the Police Headquarters in Agartala on Monday. The death of the senior IPS officer sent shock waves through the state police and administration circles.

Found Unresponsive in Office
According to officials, Anurag Dhankar was found unresponsive inside his office chamber at the Police Headquarters in Agartala.
He was immediately rushed to Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital, where a team of doctors rushed to revive him.
Medical personnel performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for nearly 48 minutes, but despite their efforts, he was declared dead at 12:48 pm.
Investigation Launched
As a result of the incident, Tripura Police launched an investigation into the death of the DGP.
They say the cause of death will only be confirmed after the post-mortem examination and other medical and forensic procedures.
At present, the authorities have not disclosed any preliminary findings about the cause of death.
