India wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel has praised young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, saying there is no jealousy or comparison when it comes to the 15-year-old’s extraordinary talent.
Jurel was talking about the comment to former India opener Aakash Chopra on his podcast. The comments were reported on September 26, 2026, as Sooryavanshi continues to attract huge attention for his explosive batting.
The teenager has already shared the dressing room with a few members of India’s 2026 T20 World Cup winning team and his rapid rise has created immense excitement in Indian cricket.
‘There’s No Comparison’
Jurel was asked about the possibility of comparisons between himself and Sooryavanshi.
Instead of viewing the teenager’s rise as competition, Jurel also noted how unusual his performances have been at such a young age.
The India batter said Sooryavanshi deserves all the praise and described his ability to attack bowlers at 15 as something difficult to even imagine.
Jurel also explained that comparisons normally happen when two players have similar skills and achievements. In Sooryavanshi's case, he thought the teenager’s performances were difficult to compare with.

Sooryavanshi is one of the world's most talked-about cricketers now.
The left-handed batsman earned much attention with his aggressive approach in the IPL and has notched up several honors for India at youth and senior level and has been a popular batsman for India in that way.
