India have already won the first three matches in the series 3-0 but they will not want to ease up and win the momentum back. New Zealand will also want to put on a show for their home fans.

India Look to Continue Their Winning Streak

India have been in fine form in the T20I series so far – winning all three matches with batting and bowling performances consistent throughout.

In the first T20I on October 22 India beat New Zealand by four wickets. The visitors continued their winning ways in the second match on October 24 and won again by four wickets.

In the third T20I on October 27 India put up an outstanding batting performance as New Zealand were bowled out for 198 in 20 overs with Daryl Mitchell making unbeaten 89 runs.

In reply India chased down the target in just 13.2 overs (199/4) and won by six wickets.

Abhishek Sharma was the star of the match with a blistering 113 off 38 balls. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also impressed with 45 runs from 19 balls. Their explosive batting put New Zealand under pressure.

India will hope their batters carry on the same aggressive approach in Auckland.

New Zealand Hope to Make a Comeback

Fourth T20I for New Zealand to get back on track after three defeats.

Although they lost the series, the hosts proved that they can score competitive totals. Daryl Mitchell’s unbeaten 89 in the previous match and contributions from other batters augured well for the team.

But New Zealand need a better bowling performance. Their bowlers couldn’t keep India’s aggressive batting in check in the third T20I (especially in the powerplay).

Mitchell Santner will expect his players to learn from their mistakes and fight harder.

New Zealand will also get another chance in the fifth and final T20I to finish on a high as a win in both matches would cut India’s winning margin down to 3-2.
