Lack of Drinking Water Facility at Cricket Match Sparks Outrage

A Wealthy Cricket Ecosystem: Questions raised are: New report emerging from cricket match after water service was predicted more than six hundred times the extent of current service. The host country has been one of the richest and most powerful on the cricket pitch throughout. Cricket is more than a sport: It draws huge groups and billions of dollars in revenue through television deals, sponsorships and ticket sales. Yet the lack of something so fundamental as clean drinking water has raised concerns over priorities and strategies. It resulted in fans losing their battle with some basic scarcity.

 Even if the lights were turned out, so-called fans who made it to the match were said to be lost, unable to find clean water for drink. All major problems were whether they needed to buy bottled water or not drink enough to stay well hydrated. Such a lapse is also seen as inapt by the sport that claims to champion a higher quality sports experience.

A live match is, for people, something a single player would normally experience with any game event but, events like this make it that much less enjoyable for people to experience it live and it takes a big cut away from it in the time. When are profits to benefit from and are responsibilities to pay for? The irony is that cricket had far more money than poverty and not only had the world of cricket so poor, the infrastructure that was on the field was worse. The top spenders, the cricket boards and organisers, and yet that is what a huge financial gap in between the revenue they make and the welfare of their fans there, as this matter is.

 Infrastructure planning can be directed more at infrastructure services like water, sanitation and crowd control rather than a few luxury amenities like these high-end VIP lounges and digital displays, experts say. Health and Safety Concerns Not just inconvenient, this lack of acceptable drinking water could represent a serious potential health hazard to people living in hot, wet environments. Spectators, children, the elderly also have the possibility to dehydrate or develop dehydration as well as heat diseases. Drinking water should be safe and accessible event managers need to be aware.
