Floyd Samba Makes Dream Debut.

The most notable story of the night was the 17-year-old Floyd Samba who scored twice on a senior debut.

Samba scored in the 29th minute with a header before Rayan Cherki doubled City's advantage three minutes later. The teenager struck again early in the second half, curling the ball into the corner to make it 4-0.

Samba’s performance was especially impressive because it was his first senior appearance for Manchester City. His two goals put the academy graduate in the spotlight immediately.

Cherki and Allan Add to Norwich’s Problems

City continued their dominance after the break. Allan Elias Andrade, making his City debut, scored in the 48th minute to make it 3–0.

The Brazilian winger also assisted City’s opening goal and kept their attacking momentum going. Cherki had already made the score 2–0 before half-time.

Norwich struggled to create a sustained threat against the defending champions. The visitors did find the net through substitute Mohamed Toure, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

McAidoo Completes the Rout

Manchester City's fifth goal arrived in the 90th minute when substitute Ryan McAidoo found the net.

The final whistle confirmed a complete 5–0 victory and City were through to the fourth round of the competition. Sky Sports reported Norwich went without a shot on target.

Manchester City Continue Carabao Cup Defence

The win extended City’s winning run and ensured that they would continue their Carabao Cup defence.

The result was particularly significant because City gave numerous younger players and debutants chances. Samba's brace, Allan's goal and McAidoo's late strike showed the depth of the club.

Manchester City will now face Brighton & Hove Albion in the fourth round. Norwich return to their Championship campaign.
