The chase was headlined by a clinical knock from Virat Kohli, who anchored the innings with authority, scoring a fluent 69. He found the perfect partner in Devdutt Padikkal, whose aggressive strokeplay ensured RCB stayed well ahead of the required rate throughout the innings.

From the outset, RCB’s intent was clear. The opening pair took on SRH’s bowlers, finding boundaries consistently and dismantling any pressure associated with chasing a 200-plus total. Padikkal’s fearless approach complemented Kohli’s composed chase-masterclass, turning what looked like a competitive contest into a one-sided affair.

Earlier, SRH posted a strong total of 201/9, thanks largely to a blistering innings from Ishan Kishan, who scored 80 off just 38 balls. Despite the imposing total, RCB bowlers managed to pull things back in the latter stages, with disciplined spells ensuring the target remained within reach.

RCB’s chase was a showcase of modern T20 batting fearless, calculated, and relentless. The team crossed the finish line with ease, registering a six-wicket victory and sending a strong message to the rest of the league.

With this dominant win, RCB not only secures two crucial points but also boosts their net run rate significantly. If Kohli and Padikkal continue in this form, Bengaluru could emerge as serious title contenders this season.
