The sixth edition of The Hundred Men's competition will begin on 21 July 2026 with MI London against Sunrisers Leeds in the opening match at Kennington Oval in London. There is going to be a lot of big names in English and international cricket in this tournament and we’re going to see a month of intense short formats.
The Hundred Men's 2026 will feature eight teams in a single round-robin league format. Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Trent Rockets, Southern Brave, Welsh Fire, MI London, Manchester Super Giants and Sunrisers Leeds will all compete for a place in the playoffs.
There are 32 league matches to play in the competition. Each team will meet the other teams once, and the team with the most points at the top of the league ranks will have a direct way to the final. The second- and third-placed teams will meet in the Eliminator on 14th August and will be at the top to qualify for the title match.
The Hundred Men's 2026 final will take place on 16 August.
This tournament has a lot of English players and international cricket talent. Jofra Archer, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Jacob Bethell, Phil Salt, Harry Brook and Liam Livingstone are among the English players to appear. The overseas talent is also strong, with players such as Heinrich Klaasen, Rashid Khan, Trent Boult, Mitchell Santner, Rachin Ravindra, Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis and Ryan Rickelton all there.
MI London will enter the tournament with a strong squad featuring Sam Curran, Will Jacks, Nicholas Pooran, Rashid Khan, James Vince and Trent Boult. Their opening opponents Sunrisers Leeds also have the firepower of Harry Brook, Mitchell Marsh, Nathan Ellis, Brydon Carse and Ryan Rickelton.
The defending champions are Oval Invincibles, who won the previous edition after defeating Trent Rockets by 26 runs in the final. Jordan Cox was the leading run-scorer in the fifth edition with 367 runs and Josh Tongue was the top wicket-taker with 14 scalps.
The Hundred Men’s 2026 will have a large talented team, a condensed schedule and the unique format of 100-ball will give the competition a lot of drama. The league leaders will fight for the top three places, and will have a direct route to the final.
It will also provide opportunities for some of the young players to compete against top international players. The first match between MI London and Sunrisers Leeds will bring another big match in the growing short-form cricket calendar to life next month.
