Following India’s devastating 61-run win over Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, a video of a Pakistani supporter smashing his television set has set off a viral wildfire across social media as a visceral representation of the frustration building across the line.
The “Waqar Azam” Meltdown
The most widely shared video is one of a fan named Waqar Azam. In the footage, Azam is seen alone in a room — holding a cricket bat. When the last Pakistani wicket landed at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Azam vented his rage on his LED TV. He did not stop at a single blow; the video clearly shows that he keeps banging the screen; even stopping to turn the device around so that the back panel was equally slammed. He captioned the post:

The anger for what fans are referring to as the Men in Green’s “one-sided and spineless” performance continues to mount. Aiming for a target of 176, Pakistan’s batting lineup crumbled under the clinical precision of the Indian bowling onslaught.
