Ahmedabad, Gujarat Meet Nirmala Kharadi - A 34 year old woman married to Dilip Kharadi. - Dilip was retired from the Army and worked as a driver. - On November 5, an argument started between them over the vegetables cooked for dinner. - Nirmala picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed Dilip in the chest. - She later informed her brother-in-law and took Dilip to the hospital. - Doctors declared him dead. Are women really the kinder gender? Her husband was a retired Army personnel, working hard as a driver to feed his family. Will feminist girls say anything about this? Will she face any punishment?

Arguments between family members can happen every day but when kitchen knife is allegedly used during a confrontation then it becomes a criminal matter.
Police will want to know what started the argument (what provoked it), whether there had been previous disagreements between the couple and what happened before the stabbing took place.
They’ll also have to find out exactly what happened in the sequence of events leading up to the stabbing and check any evidence found at the house. Statements from people who may know something about what happened could help police reconstruct what happened leading to the victim’s death.
The woman, 34, is alleged to have killed her retired Army husband because they got into an argument over a vegetable dish something that could be discussed normally but allegedly turned fatal. The motive and circumstances must be established through the police investigation not speculation.
The case also shows what can happen when domestic disagreements turn violent. Arguments over cooking, household chores, finances or other personal matters should never lead to physical attacks. Experts often say conflicts should be resolved peacefully and that support is needed if disagreements get out of hand. Violence in the home has devastating consequences for families and communities.
A lot of questions will still be left unanswered as the investigation continues what was said during dinner-time argument, was it sudden or an earlier dispute and how did the alleged stabbing come about?
The police investigation will be important in finding out motive and responsibility. The accused woman will go through the legal process and allegations against her must be looked at under law.
The incident in Ahmedabad’s Naroda area is a reminder that an alleged domestic quarrel can turn into tragedy very quickly what started as an argument over dinner has ended with the death of a retired Army serviceman and serious criminal investigation. Details about the case (police findings, legal proceedings) are awaited.
