Bigg Boss Kannada 12 Grand Finale: Gilli Nata Crowned Winner; Rakshitha Shetty Finishes as Runner-Up

In the biggest finale of one episode in the show’s history, Gilli Nata emerged as the undisputed winner of Bigg Boss Kannada 12. After 112 days of strategic manoeuvring, merriment, and back-breaking physical labor, the "Mandya Boy" took the golden trophy and officially celebrated his triumph with his gift for toughness and wit.

The Last Goliath for the Working Class

Gilli’s victory is being celebrated as personality beating strategy. A witty, impromptu, and fearless entertainer, Gilli had arrived on the scene as a part of the Janti duo of Kavya Shaiva yet rapidly became a fan favorite in his own special way. His story was one audiences identified with, in particular as he managed house politics with a smile. At the climax of the grand finale, host Kiccha Sudeep took the hands of Gilli Nata and Rakshitha Shetty.

Following a tense silence that covered all of Karnataka, Sudeep raised Gilli’s hand, stating that he became the champion of Season 12. award for a year; *The Grand Prize and Accolades*. In addition to the golden trophy, Gilli Nata gets a very good cash prize of ₹50 Lakh. This was further bolstered by the overwhelming public support that he drew; the last voting trends showed Gilli receiving almost 68% of the total votes in a record-breaking mandate in the show’s history.

Rakshitha Shetty: A Good runner-Up

From the very first minute of the contest, Gilli faced her toughest match, her own competition, who came with the title first runner-up in the season, and who remained one step ahead of her. Rakshitha - The calm, cool head and all-embracing one, received immense respect on top within the house as well as outside the house. She got to the Top 2 all but missing the trophy, but her journey to Top 2 is definitely a milestone of an event, in the end of a season which was dominated by such amazing women: Ashwini Gowda (2nd Runner-up), Kavya Shaiva (3rd Runner-up).

Celebrating the "New Man"

Gilli Nata was very emotional in his victory speech where he thanked the people of Karnataka and Mandya as it was his hometown. “I had come here as a normal person with phenomenal dreams,” he said. I know we must accept that this trophy is for everyone, all of whom who saw themselves in me. Bigg Boss had not only afforded me fame, it gave me a new life. "The curtain is officially dropping on Bigg Boss Kannada 12, and the show has gone from a phenomenon on TV to one that has been cultural, with a winner that really made an impact.
