Just as viewers thought Bigg Boss Marathi 6 couldn't get any crazier, the producers dropped a bombshell. A recent promo for the episodes on February 16-17 showed a hotheaded Bigg Boss resorting to very heavy disciplinary action against Rakhi Sawant, who is finally escorted outside by bouncers in a violent display of anger in the promo.
The Trigger: Vandalism and Chaos
The promo opens with the house in total turmoil. Last week, Rakhi Sawant, widely known for her “uncompromising” game, allegedly took her antics to shocking heights. The video shows Rakhi destroying house property, flinging garbage onto contestants’ beds, and creating an unlivable environment for her fellow housemates.
Bigg Boss uses a frozen, authoritarian voice as he calls Rakhi to the confession room. “The state of this house is unacceptable. We are now going to take strict steps against you,” Bigg Boss says. He also adds that host Riteish Deshmukh "has demanded the most stringent possible action" against her.
In the shocking removal
In the promo’s climax, two men wearing black security uniforms enter the house. It’s what is later used in a viral video when they literally drag Rakhi Sawant’s screaming face toward the doors while she desperately says, “I don’t want to go! What mistake did I make?” The caption by Colors Marathi reads: "Bigg Boss made a hard call following the assessment of Rakhi’s behavior!"
Fans Reacting: Crossover or Endgame?
Currently, social media is divided on whether the “elimination” was legit.
- The “Gimmick” Theory: Most long-time devotees of the franchise think what we’re witnessing today is a stereotypical Bigg Boss promotion stunt meant to amplify TRPs. Recognizing Rakhi as a “guest” wildcard, some may even speculate that she would be whisked to a “secret room” or the “security guards” were working.
- The “Strict Action” Theory: The other theory is that her vandalism overstepped what was required by the game rules and the producer had to remove her because it is in the best interests of all the contestants to do so.
The week 6 eliminations are contextual
This is happening after a particularly heavy weekend (Bhaucha Dhakka) in which host Riteish Deshmukh announced double elimination. On February 15, contestants Karan Sonawane and Ayush Sanjeev got evicted from the residence, leaving the housemates on edge. If Rakhi is actually out, it will be the third exit in less than 48 hours.
