In a recent media interaction, Varthur Santhosh announced that he would personally pledge a sum of ₹10,00,000 (₹10 Lakhs) to the contestant who finishes as the second runner-up in the current season.
The Condition: A Bull’s Entry
While the donation is a significant boost to the final prize money, Varthur Santhosh attached a special condition that reflects his core passion: the promotion of the indigenous Hallikar breed of cattle.
"I am still committed to giving ₹10 lakhs to the second runner-up," Santhosh stated. "But I have one condition. They must arrange for a Hallikar bull to be brought to the Bigg Boss stage, or even better, inside the Bigg Boss house. This is my humble request to the team, and I am willing to go and confirm the details quickly."
Santhosh clarified that if the condition is not met, the funds would instead be used for the Hallikar bull races he passionately promotes, but his preference remains to use the Bigg Boss platform to showcase the rare breed to the state.
Honouring 'Sudeep Sir'
The sentiment of the announcement also carried a deep appreciation for the show's long-time host, Kichcha Sudeep.
While discussing the true measures of popularity on the show, Santhosh and many fans have often referred to Sudeep as the perennial 'runner-up' or 'winner' of public affection.
