Bengaluru, October 10: Air India Express will introduce five new routes from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru to its winter schedule with new routes on Monday, October 10.
The network will be expanded at Kathmandu in Nepal and Coimbatore, Goa’s Manohar International Airport, Jodhpur and Madurai. The new connections enable passengers to have more travel options and help Bengaluru to become a center of gravity of domestic and international flights. This is an example of the airline increasing its capacity to bridge the gap in its network in order to connect people from the global market in this direction as this is also an expansion of its network of leisure tourists and business passengers to the destination city with a focus on the domestic and international market in India.
In fact, they will connect Bengaluru to Kathmandu, capital of Nepal where the international connection is very much the key to the expansion of Bengaluru with a direct international connection between Bengaluru and Kathmandu. Kathmandu is one of the top tourist destinations in India and other countries.
The direct flight service will make traveling between the two cities much easier as there will be no need for connecting flights. The route would be beneficial to tourists planning their trips to Nepal, pilgrims going to significant religious centres and business travellers in Nepal and we have the possibility to develop a better connection between India and Nepal.
In addition to the international route, we plan to introduce domestic flights from Bengaluru to Coimbatore, Goa, Jodhpur and Madurai. The airline will fly daily on these domestic routes, as they announced that they are going to be operated by the airline. Coimbatore is an important industrial and commercial centre in Tamil Nadu, and is connected to Bengaluru in various sectors through business, manufacturing, education and healthcare. If we can connect better with other cities in the region, travel to the two cities would be easier for professionals, entrepreneurs, students and families.
The new service might also provide a new option for those who prefer long road or train route travel to go to Goa, particularly the Mopa airport area in North Goa. And we expect the new connection from Bengaluru to be another option for holidaymakers to travel to the coastal state for beaches, resorts, nightlife and cultural places to visit. Bengaluru is a major source of domestic tourism and better air connections could make short holidays and weekend trips more accessible.
The new connection may also help travellers plan their trips around winter holidays when demand for popular leisure destinations is high. Jodhpur, a traditional city with historic forts, palaces and distinctive blue-painted houses, is another important component of the airline's network from Bengaluru. The Rajasthan city draws tourists interested in heritage architecture, local cuisine and traditional culture.
A direct connection with easy travel is a route that would also make a trip to Jodhpur and other destinations in Rajasthan easier for those planning to visit Jodhpur and other spots in Rajasthan. It would also assist business travellers, and even family members travelling to family members in the area. And Madurai is also a cultural and religious centre in Tamil Nadu, known for the historic Meenakshi Amman temple.
Connectivity between Bengaluru and Madurai could be made even easier for religious tourism, family visits and business trips. The five-route expansion is part of the overall effort of Air India Express to extend its network to its network and expand it along with other airlines during the winter air travel season as part of its work to enhance the network for the company's coverage of the winter air traffic.
As Bengaluru is a data technology, business and employment center, the demand for flights to destinations in India and overseas is growing. For business, the better the air connections for travel to work, regional agreements, and tourism in India is for the better. Kempegowda International Airport will also have an expanded transport infrastructure that allows tourists from Bengaluru and the vicinity to travel to other destinations. But the airline's official booking channels provide the date of when flights will be launched, flight timings and ticket prices for each route.
The airline has already announced the five new connections under its winter schedule but the exact operations may vary among destinations. In general, the flights to Kathmandu, Coimbatore, Goa's Mopa airport, Jodhpur and Madurai are going to be the first of its kind to be brought to Bengaluru. With the increased global and domestic connection, it will offer a lot better travel for many customers in the future as well as easier business, tourism and home business. The new connections could make Bengaluru more accessible for all in India and for all over the world during winter travel in the future.
