The UK tour for The Nepali Way has received a very good response, and the Gurkha Museum and the Mere Literary Festival are now sold out.
The announcement was made by the author behind the book, who thanked supporters for the overwhelming response. The two events are filled, but readers and audiences still have access to two upcoming events in Brecon and London.
The next event will take place at Brecon Guildhall on October 10 at 2:30 pm. Tickets are still available for the event that should attract a lot of the notable former Gurkhas. Also to attend will be the Mayor of Brecon.
The Brecon event will give audiences a chance to know more about The Nepali Way, its themes and the stories associated with Nepal, the Gurkha community and Britain.
Following the Brecon appearance, the tour will travel to London for an event at the Victory Services Club on October 16 at 6:00 pm. The London gathering has been described as the final event of the tour before the author returns to Nepal.
The demand for tickets is still there as interest in the book is growing through its UK events. Both the Gurkha Museum and the Mere Literary Festival sell-outs indicate a lot of interest in the book and its discussions about Nepali experiences and the Gurkha connection with such an audience.
Signed copies of The Nepali Way are still available. And readers can now get signed copies with a £5 pre-publication discount, so more supporters can own a signed edition of the book.
The book tour combines literary events with opportunities to engage with the history and experiences associated with Nepal and the Gurkhas. When Gurkhas join in the Brecon discussion, we can expect to have a personal dimension to the conversation.
For those who are going to attend, the remaining dates will be of particular significance as the London event will mark the end of the UK tour before the author travels back to Nepal.
Since two of the events have already sold out, there is limited opportunity for prospective participants to attend the remaining ones.
