Mahindra XUV700 Facelift Set To Arrive As XUV 7XO

Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to launch a refreshed version of its popular SUV, the XUV700, which is expected to debut in early 2026 under a new name — XUV 7XO. The company has already filed a trademark for the name, following its recent strategy of rebranding facelifts with the “XO” suffix, as seen with the XUV3XO.

Design and Interior Updates:

Spy shots of test models reveal significant changes:

  • Triple‑screen dashboard layout — one for the instrument cluster, one for infotainment, and one for passenger use.
  • New two‑spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra logo.
  • Premium dual‑tone leatherette upholstery for a more upscale cabin feel.
  • Revised front grille and bumper design, along with sharper LED headlamps and tail‑lamps.

Engine and Performance:

Mahindra is expected to retain the current 2.0‑liter turbo‑petrol and 2.2‑liter diesel engines, paired with manual and automatic transmissions. Minor tuning for efficiency and refinement may be introduced, but no major mechanical changes are anticipated.

Market Position:

The facelifted XUV700/XUV 7XO will continue to compete with rivals such as the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar. With its updated design and technology, Mahindra aims to strengthen its position in the premium SUV segment.

Launch Timeline:

Production is expected to begin by late 2025, with an official launch in early 2026. Pricing details will be announced closer to launch, but the facelift is likely to carry a slight premium over the current XUV700.

The Mahindra XUV700 facelift — potentially branded as XUV 7XO — promises a bold new look, advanced technology, and a more premium cabin, while keeping its trusted engines. It is set to be one of the most anticipated SUV launches of 2026.
