MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition Teaser Reveals New Olive-Brown Finish: Expected Features, Battery Options And Price

JSW MG Motor India has released a special edition of Windsor EV called Indulge Edition just before the launch. The teaser shows an olive-brown exterior colour and connected LED daytime running lights, hinting at a styling and visual upgrade for the electric crossover. No firm date for the release of the new edition, price or list of changes are available for this edition.

The teaser comes as MG Windsor EV is up for two years on the Indian market and has sold over 80,000 units in India. Indulge Edition will likely stick to the design and equipment of the vehicle and not have any major changes to it. The battery packs, electric motor and performance are expected to stay the same although the company hasn’t yet announced the final specifications.

The new edition will follow the Windsor EV Inspire Edition, announced in October 2025. That version had an integrated dashcam and was available with the smaller battery pack. It is unclear if the Indulge Edition will come with one or both battery options.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition: What The Teaser Reveals

The most noticeable change in the teaser is the olive-brown paint finish, which could give the Windsor EV a distinctive appearance compared with the standard colour options. The connected LED DRLs are also visible, while the familiar overall body shape appears to have been retained.

The teaser does not show the whole vehicle or all the exterior and interior changes. But the special-edition positioning suggests MG might add more cosmetic details to differentiate it from the regular variants.

Other possible accessories would be special-edition badges, redesigned alloy wheel accents, and contrasting exterior detailing. These are still expectations, not official features, and the final list of available equipment will be clearer when the company officially unveils the model.

Expected Interior Changes And Accessories

Inside the cabin, Indulge Edition could receive styling updates that complement the new exterior colour. There are upholstery themes, contrast highlights, embroidered headrests and special edition badging.

MG might also introduce an accessory package to make the vehicle more distinctive. Things like floor mats, rear-window sunshades, body-side mouldings, bumper corner protectors and a leather key cover could be in the package. Dealer-fit accessories (e.g., illuminated door sills) might also be included.

But none of these changes have been confirmed by the company. Buyers should check whether any accessories are included in the official ex-showroom price or offered separately by dealerships.

A functional upgrade, such as the dashcam built into the earlier Inspire Edition, would be possible, but we are unable to confirm that the Indulge Edition would have the same equipment. The final feature list will show if the new edition adds more than a different paint finish and cosmetic touches.

Battery Options And Performance Expected To Remain Unchanged

The Windsor EV is currently available with two battery options, which are claimed to have different driving ranges. The Indulge Edition will carry on the existing powertrain but MG has not said which battery version will be offered.

The smaller battery pack has a capacity of 37.9 kWh (approx 38 kWh) and a claimed range of 332 km. The larger 52.9 kWh battery pack has a claimed range of 449 km. Both versions produce 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque and the power is delivered to the front wheels.

The standard version can be charged DC fast up to 45 kW while the Pro version can be charged up to 60 kW. AC charging is available at 7.4 kW.

These figures are related to the existing Windsor EV line-up and should not be taken as final Indulge Edition specifications until MG confirms them. If the new edition is largely cosmetic, buyers can expect performance and driving range to remain broadly similar to the corresponding standard variant.

Existing Windsor EV Features Buyers Should Know About

The Windsor EV already has a range of comfort and technology features such as a 15.6-inch touchscreen, wireless connectivity, ambient lighting, panoramic glass roof and rear air-conditioning vents.

These features are part of the appeal of an existing model so the consumers should know the Indulge Edition really brings us the goods. If the changes are limited to paint finish, badges and accessories, then it’s going to boil down to personal styling preferences and the additional cost.

The equipment may differ by variant, so it is important to compare the special edition with the equivalent regular Windsor EV rather than with a differently equipped version.

MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition: Expected Price And Launch Timeline

MG has not announced the Indulge Edition's price or launch date. The current Windsor EV range is listed at around Rs 12.36 lakh at average ex-showroom pricing in the report. The final price of the special edition could depend on its battery option, variant positioning and additional equipment.

The price list should be seen in the official price list and buyers should expect to know the price will be on a reasonable price of the edition and it is important that they wait for the official price list before deciding whether the edition is worth a premium. Also, whether the special paint and accessories will be part of the vehicle’s price, or are included as a part of the vehicle as an add-on or optional features.

The battery-as-a-service option is another one to watch. We have not yet confirmed its availability for the Indulge Edition and the purchase structure could affect the overall upfront cost for buyers.

Should You Wait For The MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition?

The Indulge Edition could be attractive to buyers who want a more distinctive Windsor EV without stepping on to another electric vehicle. The olive-brown exterior finish may be what attracts people and a range of cabin and accessory upgrades may help differentiate it.

But buyers should not expect that the special edition will give a longer driving range, faster acceleration or better charging performance. So far there’s no mechanical updates.

Before paying a premium, prospective customers should compare the official equipment list and price with those of the regular model. They should also confirm which battery option is available, whether the accessories are included and whether the edition introduces any genuinely useful functional upgrades.

For now, the teaser confirms the Indulge Edition’s arrival and provides us with a first look at its exterior. There is no news about the price, release date, variants and final list of features yet. Those details will determine if the new Windsor EV edition will be of any value at all or merely cosmetic in comparison to the existing editions.
