The new portfolio was unveiled at the Dell Technologies Forum 2026 in Mumbai on September 2. Dell is targeting the three laptop families for different business users, the Pro 7 is the premium tier, the Pro 5 is aimed at mainstream professional users and the Pro 3 is for everyday business productivity.

The laptops are available with the newer Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors depending on the model and configuration. Dell says that the systems can handle AI workloads directly on the device and can also handle cloud-based and data-centre workloads.

Dell Pro 7: Premium Business Laptop With 5G

The Dell Pro 7 is the most premium of the three new Pro laptops in the range. It is available in 13-inch and 14-inch sizes and is available as a conventional laptop and a 2-in-1.

The Pro 7 can be configured with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 or AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors. We also have Copilot+ PC capabilities and on-device AI features in certain versions.

The 13-inch and 14-inch models can be configured with up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 2TB of SSD storage. Display options include WUXGA, WQXGA and OLED panels, with touch and non-touch configurations depending on the model.

The 2-in-1 versions are also equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus touchscreens and an optional active pen. Camera configurations can be FHD HDR plus infrared or 8MP HDR plus infrared.

Connectivity is also another major highlight. These Pro 7 configurations are equipped with optional 5G and 4G LTE with eSIM, and Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6E configurations are also available. Dell claims that the Pro 7 13 is up to 18% thinner than its predecessor, and those Pro 7 14 configurations can provide at least 23 hours of battery life.

Dell Pro 5: Mainstream Business Performance

The Dell Pro 5 is situated between the Pro 3 and Pro 7 and is designed for knowledge workers and businesses looking for a balance between performance, connectivity and flexibility.

The laptop is available in 14-inch and 16-inch and has Intel Core Ultra Series 3, Intel Core and AMD Ryzen AI processors for it. It has 64GB of memory and up to 2TB of SSD storage.

Display options include WUXGA and WQXGA panels with up to 500 nits of brightness. OLED displays are also available on some configurations. The laptop can also support an 8MP HDR and infrared camera and battery capacity up to 70Wh.

For mobile connectivity, compatible Pro 5 models can be configured with a MediaTek T700 5G modem or Qualcomm Snapdragon X12 4G LTE modem. All of those configurations also support eSIM, giving enterprise users more flexibility when working away from the office network.

Dell Pro 3: Everyday Business Productivity

The Dell Pro 3 is the more accessible option in the new Pro range and targets everyday office and administrative workloads.

It is available in 14-inch and 16-inch versions with Intel and AMD processor choices. The Pro 3 14 starts at around 1.31kg for Intel configurations and 1.33kg for AMD versions, while the larger Pro 3 16 starts at around 1.91kg.

Display options can be up to 500 nits on the 14-inch model and with displays rated up to 400 nits on the 16-inch model.

Some Pro 3 configurations support Wi-Fi 7 or Wi-Fi 6E. Some Intel Core Ultra models can also be set up with optional 5G connectivity, while selected versions have 4G LTE and eSIM support as well.

The combination of cellular connectivity and Wi-Fi 7 is particularly relevant for businesses with employees who frequently work remotely, travel between offices or operate from locations without dependable fixed broadband.

AI Features Become a Bigger Focus

AI is a central theme throughout Dell’s new commercial PC portfolio. The Pro 3, Pro 5 and Pro 7 families support on-device AI capabilities, with compatible configurations offering Copilot+ PC experiences.

That trend is consistent with the PC industry's move towards systems that have dedicated processing capability for AI workloads. Instead of relying entirely on cloud services, AI PCs could perform some tasks locally, making it more responsive and less dependent on cloud connectivity.

For companies looking to integrate AI into their everyday workflows while maintaining enterprise security and manageability, Dell is targeting these capabilities.

Dell Pro Laptops: India Price and Availability

The new Dell Pro laptops start at ₹1,27,429 in India, according to the launch information. The pricing will depend heavily on the processor, display, memory, storage and connectivity configuration selected.

Dell's India website currently lists the Pro 3, Pro 5 and Pro 7 as part of its commercial portfolio, with availability depending on the configuration and market rollout.

Dell also unveiled new Precision workstations, professional monitors and a 4K webcam at its India event along with the three laptop families. The wider portfolio is aimed at organisations handling AI development, engineering, simulations, rendering and other demanding workloads.

With the Pro 7 focused on premium mobility, the Pro 5 targeted at mainstream professional users and the Pro 3 aimed at everyday business requirements, Dell’s new India lineup of AI PCs has broadened the choice of AI PCs and more wireless and cellular connections.
